2025 Board Vacancies | Help shape the future of Football in Gippsland

Gippsland United Football Club (GUFC) are seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to join our Board at the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is your opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the growth of football across our region.

GUFC represents Warragul, Morwell, and surrounding Gippsland communities, providing football pathways from grassroots and Boys Youth State League through to State League Women’s and Men’s levels.

Guided by our values of Respect, Pride, Integrity, Commitment, and Teamwork, we are committed to fostering inclusive, high-quality football experiences and building a united football future for Gippsland.


Available Board Positions

We are now recruiting for the following roles:

  • President (3-year term), Executive Role
  • Treasurer (3-year term), Executive role
  • Engagement, Brand & Experience Director (formerly Marketing) (3-year term)
  • Football Director (2-year term)
  • Culture and Inclusion Director (1-year term)

Each position plays a vital role in driving GUFC’s new strategic direction, sustainability and club culture.

 

How to Nominate

To apply, submit the following to the Club Secretary at admin@gufc.asn.au by Friday 21 November 2025:

  • A one-page Nomination form, addressing the application questions
  • Your CV or relevant experience

  • A short bio (150 words) and headshot photograph

Full Position Descriptions are available on request for the non-executive positions

§  You may nominate yourself or be nominated by another member (with your consent)

§  All positions are elected by members at the AGM

§  Directors must comply with the duties outline in Rule 45, including acting in good faith, with reasonable care and diligence in the best interests of the Club

§  Board terms are typically three years, unless filling a shorter casual or rotational vacancy

§  Members can be elected for subsequent terms
